We have just released Version 4.8 with the ability to set the folder data permissions so that Vista/Windows 7 users can use the software with the User Access Control enabled.
This is incorporated into the Install process and you will see this if you have Vista or Windows 7.

Prior to this V4.7 was released after 8 weeks of intensive work where we totally re-wrote the Display Functions for the grids. In this work we were able to combine the code for the scorecard and dashboard modules which allows us to improve our quality.
Default grid column widths are now set in the column filter screen by dragging the column header separators. You can then drag the columns of each grid to suit.
The Export-To-Panel module is available and we have written it in such as way that you can open and close it from the Scorcard (or Dashboard) modules. When you do this for each module the export panel images are retained. For example in the scorecard module you can export the grid and then add to this with graphs, charts, text, owner logo and other grids.

Development of Version 5 has been delayed until now as it took us 6 weeks to compile our free training Concept and Software videos plus we had to create V4.7 in response to customer requests.
In addition to this we have upgraded our development system to Visual Studio 2008 and purchased the latest version of software tools from ComponentOne.com.

As the Global Financial Crisis continues with unemployment increasing and housing values dropping, the need for Strategic Planning is increasing. This is because business durability depends more than ever on Performance which ultimately comes through employee Alignment and Focus.
It is nice to know that you can get professional quality strategic software for free and we are proceeding with making the software better.

The GFC has created a new focus on our software with many people turning towards the Internet to find a Kaplan & Norton compatible strategic software product without paying thousands (or indeed tens or hundreds of thousands) of dollars.

The new focus is on creating a Strategic Business Picture (Strategy Map and all associated Statements) and then using the Balanced Scorecard to align and measure everything that you do.
In times of recession, making a correct value judgement should always rely on effective alignment and measurement and hence this software becomes a badly needed automation tool.

Website Statistics:
Our website is hosted by Connexus in Australia and customer usage has reduced slightly since the GFC began.
Before the GFC it reached 10,000 unique visitors in one month with recent peaks in late 2009.
Software downloads are increasing and continue to run at just under 3000 copies/month.

This information is provided to demonstrate how Good Website Statistics are an essential website KPI measurement tool.
We choose NOT to use Google Website Analytics as we see no reason why our customer download statistics data should be made available to untrusted overseas organisations such as Google.
