Software Release Versions:
We currently have two software versions that share the same database structure.
It is not recommended that both versions be used simultaneously.
You should not go back to using V3 after having used V4 on the same database.

Release Version 3
This was produced before the MS-Office 2007 Tabbed Ribbon control became available and hence has the button style interface.
It is currently not compatible with European number formats such as 1234,56 however we hope to fix this issue when we have time.
This software is totally free forever, however unless you have a license file its usage is restricted along with the Free Personal Version usage conditions.
No new licenses are being issued for this version.

Release Version 4
This was produced using the MS-Office 2007 Tabbed Ribbon control and provides a much superior User Interface.
This version usage is limited to three months from the date that it was published, after which time it will expire unless a software license is purchased.
If a new release build becomes available during this time then by downloading this build you can reset the expiry date and extend it for a further period.

Future Release Version 5
We expect to begin work on V5 in October 2009 and this should take approximately 3 months to complete.
This vital work was delayed because our free training videos took much longer than we anticipated.
Plus we received and are still working on, many enhancement requests from customers.
Hence V5 is now expected in December 2009.

Version 5 Enhancements
This will have features such as Password Logins as well as Objective Cascading between Parent and Child Strategy Maps.
Other areas such as Strategic Themes and Monthly Grid Row Labels will also be enhanced.
These features will require a new database structure and will thus be released as an entirely separate system.
It will have the ability to Import Version 4 Exported XML files, thus providing the means for getting data from V4 into to the new V5 database.

Version 5 Software License
This version will replace Version 4 entirely and the same Free Personal Version usage restrictions will apply.
For the first month only after V5 is released: there will be no charge to upgrade user licenses from V4 to V5.

The password usage will be an optional extra and there will be an additional charge to enable this feature.
